DACHSER France expands in Salon de Provence
DACHSER France is expanding its warehouse capacity in Salon de Provence in response to continued high demand in the region. The site in the Bouches-du-Rhône department on the Mediterranean Sea began operations six years ago and has since developed successfully.

The 12,000-square-meter expansion of the Salon de Provence site, which is located near Marseille, brings the total area of the facility to 36,000 square meters. The warehouse now has a total capacity of 35 000 pallets. The offering at the site is complemented by extensive value-added services.
"With the expansion in Salon de Provence, we are creating additional capacity for our customers and can further solidify DACHSER as an important and reliable logistics partner in the region," says Guénaël Rousselot, General Manager, Region Côte d'Azur and Provence at DACHSER France.
The European Logistics branch in nearby Marseille will take over the onward transport of the goods stored in Salon de Provence. The warehouse is thus directly connected to a Europe-wide overland transport network with 289 locations in 37 countries. There is also a connection to air and sea freight via the airport and seaport in Marseille.
Half of the space now created will be used by a company from the gardening sector and half by a customer from the information and communications technology sector.
Further expansion planned
DACHSER France plans to further expand the warehouse space in the Salon de Provence region by 2025. The number of employees at the site will also be increased. The company is currently looking for colleagues for the commercial and industrial areas. Currently, 70 people are employed in Salon de Provence.
