DACHSER Norway expands to Kristiansand

DACHSER is strengthening its network in the Nordic region and in Europe with a new sales office in Kristiansand, southern Norway. The goal is to attract new customers in the south and west of the country and help the company grow. Up to now, DACHSER Norway was limited to a branch in Vinterbro on the outskirts of Oslo.

DACHSER is strengthening its network in the Nordic region and in Europe with a new sales office in Kristiansand, southern Norway.

“We’re delighted that we can now offer our services in more parts of Norway,” says Armend Krasniqi, General Manager European Logistics Vinterbro. He adds that the new sales office allows DACHSER Norway to offer its customers in Kristiansand, Stavanger, and Haugesund even more tailored import and export services and thus provide them with easier access to Europe.

The Kristiansand region also serves as the start and end points within Norway of the E-road highways E18 and E39. With good ferry links to destinations across Europe, the port of Kristiansand is the most important transport hub in southern Norway. By establishing this new location, DACHSER is now in a position to significantly shorten throughput times to Europe for its customers in Kristiansand, Stavanger, and Haugesund.

Vinterbro also gets new office space

Despite major challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic, DACHSER has never wavered from its goal of strengthening its position in the Norwegian market. “Our focus is still to expand and strengthen our European groupage network. This entails expanding our capacity accordingly,” Krasniqi says. “Doing so ensures we can maintain our high standard of quality.”

To maintain quality while also growing, the logistics provider has also expanded its existing offices at Vinterbro by more than 200 m2. Krasniqi adds that looking to the future, it is important to have the space for a Shared Service Center to support the sales office in Kristiansand.
