Focus on France: Safe supply chains for the export of chemical products and dangerous goods
The Dangerous Goods // Hazardous Substances trade fair will open its doors in Leipzig on November 24 with an officially approved hygiene concept. DACHSER Chem-Logistics is staying true to the event in its third year and will once again be represented with its own booth (Hall 2, B21).
“At this trade fair, we want to create links among all those who work towards safe international supply chains for chemical products and dangerous goods. We will still be able to do this even with reduced booth personnel and while maintaining the necessary physical distance,” says Michael Kriegel, Department Head DACHSER Chem-Logistics.

It seems very likely that despite 2020 being the year of the coronavirus, our industry will still get to benefit from this trade fair as a platform for networking and knowledge transfer.
With standardized processes in its global logistics network, central dangerous goods teams for overland transport as well as air and sea freight, 226 regional dangerous goods safety officers, and specific industry expertise for customers in the chemical industry, DACHSER plays a key role in the cross-border groupage shipment of dangerous goods and the safe storage of hazardous materials.
Supporting the chemical industry in France for 10 years
This is definitely the case in France, where DACHSER Chem-Logistics has been supporting the dynamic growth of the chemical industry for exactly ten years. This sector has now developed into one of the country’s strongest export industries. “Germany and France are closely linked economically and logistically, and this is particularly true of the chemical industry,” Kriegel says. “Companies in the chemical industry with business relationships in France will find information and competent contact persons on our booth at the Dangerous Goods // Hazardous Substances trade fair.”
As in the previous year, a DACHSER truck in Hall 2 will be the central eye-catcher at Dangerous Goods // Hazardous Substances. On the bed of the truck, Messe Leipzig is holding a hazardous goods quiz to test visitors’ knowledge of how to load a dangerous goods truck safely and in accordance with the applicable regulations.
