DACHSER at the LogiMAT 2024

"The framework for logistics is becoming increasingly complex, be it due to constantly evolving consumer demands, economic or seasonal volatility, the lack of new logistics space and staff, or the responsibility to operate sustainably," says Thomas Klare, Head of Corporate Contract Logistics at DACHSER.

"Our customers expect more transparency, efficiency and flexibility and at the same time have high quality standards. We meet these demands with our integrated contract logistics offerings, which intelligently combine warehousing, transportation and value-added services as well as modern IT systems." Accordingly, the motto of DACHSER's trade fair appearance this year is "Logistics solutions from a single source - integrated and efficient". 

A strong network

To this end, DACHSER invests in the professional expertise of its employees and in the expansion of its global logistics network. This now includes 163 warehouse locations with 2.7 million pallet spaces and over 5,400 warehouse employees. Warehouse capacities were created or expanded at 19 locations last year alone. These included a warehouse in Rottenburg am Neckar with over 18,000 pallet spaces, a warehouse in Ingolstadt with 16,900 pallet spaces and two warehouses in the north of France with space for more than 32,000 pallets. A warehouse location with 16,500 pallet spaces was also put into operation in Atlanta, USA. Other important milestones for the entire DACHSER network include recent acquisitions and joint ventures to further strengthen performance. For example, the acquisition of the Dutch food logistics company Müller Fresh Food Logistics was announced at the beginning of last year. The Swedish food logistics company Frigoscandia will also become part of DACHSER. Müller and Frigoscandia are among the leading providers in their home regions and offer both transportation and warehousing services for temperature-controlled and frozen foods. In addition, the groupage and contract logistics business with industrial and consumer goods in Italy will be expanded with the joint venture DACHSER & Fercam Italia, which will be launched this spring. "With our investments, we are ensuring that we open up additional growth potential for our customers and create security and stability for the future," explains Thomas Klare.

Camm Solutions will be co-exhibiting at the DACHSER stand this year. The young company has developed the innovative material solution CAMM, which can be used as a packaging material like plastic but is fully compostable and recyclable. Camm Solutions is exhibiting at the international industry event for the first time. 

LogiMAT is the world's largest trade fair for intralogistics solutions. At the three-day event, international exhibitors showcase new technologies, products, systems and solutions for streamlining, optimizing and reducing the costs of internal logistics processes.
