DACHSER expands Mohammedia branch
DACHSER is creating new capacities in Marocco and has invested in the extension and modernization of its facilities in Mohammedia, Since May 2018, the branch has been consolidating international and domestic road transport activities, contract logistics, and customs operations.
By centralizing its transport and logistics activities, DACHSER Morocco has optimized resources and created new synergies. With the Casablanca warehouse at maximum capacity and strong growth in international transport, the decision was made to transfer some activities to the warehouse in Mohammedia. The newly expanded and modernized facilities now offer 14,250m². The Casablanca branch remains the head office of DACHSER Morocco with the Air & Sea activities.
Logistics for the future
DACHSER has invested more than 7 million dirhams (about 630.000 Euros) in renovating and reconfiguring the existing facilities, and in building new infrastructure.
From now on, the Mohammedia branch can offer its customers more than 22,500 pallets in storage capacity to meet their logistics needs. Capacity for handling goods has been increased, and so the number of docking bays has risen from 11 to 28. Finally, a 2,500 m² bonded warehouse has been added to this modern infrastructure.
