DACHSER expands storage space in Spain

The logistics provider continues pursuing its expansion strategy in Iberia with the opening of new facilities in Logroño and Zaragoza. The warehouses provide 28,000 square meters more storage capacity for strengthening the logistics service portfolio in Iberia.

DACHSER expands storage space in Spain

DACHSER is extending its transport and storage network in the northeastern region of Spain, with recently opened warehouses in Aragón and La Rioja. Juan Quintana, Managing Director European Logistics DACHSER Iberia, underlines the importance of these investments as they “reinforce our commitment to the industrial fabric of the region, accompanying it in its growth with high added-value proposals that offer advanced logistics solutions adapted to the needs of each customer.” This added value is made possible thanks to the density of the transport network, composed of 87 branches in Spain and Portugal, out of a total of 363 branches spread across 38 European countries.

Strong logistics network

In Zaragoza, where DACHSER already has a strong logistics network, a total of 26,660 square meters of additional space has recently been opened up thanks to three new warehouses. Two of these are located in the Polígono Plaza and the Polígono Industrial de Malpica. The third is in La Rioja’s Logroño, located in the Las Cañas Industrial Estate, and has doubled the amount of space allocated to transport and tripled parcel processing capacity.

Currently, the northern regions of La Rioja, Aragón, and Navarra manage more than 70,000 square meters dedicated to logistics services and have more than 70 daily routes connecting directly to other branches of the DACHSER network. In this way, customers benefit from great flexibility in transit times and full access to any point in Spain or the rest of Europe. In 2017, DACHSER’s commitment to providing reliable and competitive services for export resulted in new direct and daily connections from Zaragoza to Milan and Bologna. These, along with nine existing direct lines from Zaragoza to France, all serve to complete the company’s wide international network.
