DACHSER has strengthened its management in Asia Pacific
With Marcel Schmidt and Mario Morich, DACHSER is filling management positions in Hong Kong and Malaysia with leaders from its own ranks.
On July 1, 2022, Marcel Schmidt (45) began his new job as Managing Director of DACHSER Hong Kong. He reports to Kevin Chen, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Greater China.
Schmidt began his career at DACHSER in 1997 as an intern. Since 2000, he has held various positions in controlling and operational management at DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics.
Having worked at different German branches for several years, Schmidt transferred to the Kempten Head Office in 2008. In May 2015, he transferred to the APAC Regional Head Office in Hong Kong, where he was Head of Air Freight and, most recently, Department Head Controlling Asia Pacific. Throughout his long-standing career with DACHSER, Schmidt has held various positions in the domains of business processes and organization, operations management, air freight, and controlling in the Air & Sea Logistics business field.
DACHSER has appointed a new Country Manager for Malaysia
Since July 12, 2022, Mario Morich (33) has been Country Manager Air & Sea Logistics for DACHSER’s Malaysia country organization, succeeding Daniel Pohl, who has taken on a new responsibility within the company. He reports to Jesper Larsen, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics South East Asia.
Morich joined DACHSER as a trainee in the student training program in 2012. After completing the program in Germany, he spent two years in India. In 2018, he moved to Thailand. During his time in South Asia, Morich held positions in the local distribution organization and other business fields. Most recently, he was Controlling Manager Air & Sea Logistics South East Asia.
