DACHSER opens branch in Poland
At the start of September, the logistics provider opened a new branch in Rzeszów in southeastern Poland. Situated in the province of Subcarpathia, the plant is DACHSER’s ninth location in Poland. In addition to road transport and warehousing, the Rzeszów branch will also handle intercontinental goods traffic, in particular air freight.
“Southeastern Poland is a region in which many companies are increasing their international revenue. The amount of groupage cargo we have handled in this part of the country has grown consistently over the past few years. For our customers, this investment in a new branch means better access to the entire DACHSER network and thus to EU sales markets,” says Dr. Grzegorz Lichocik, Managing Director of DACHSER European Logistics Poland.
Also suitable for handling chemical transports
The new branch is situated close to Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport and in direct proximity to the A4 highway. Covering a total of almost 3,000 square meters, it consists of a contract logistics warehouse with 2,100 square meters of floor space, a transit terminal with nine gates, and a section for offices and social facilities. Like all DACHSER locations in Poland, this transit terminal is also suitable for handling chemical transports, including dangerous goods.
