DACHSER strengthens air and sea freight in the Nordic countries
On January 1, Mattias Kellgren took over the position of Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Nordic. The logistics service provider is thus strengthening its air and sea freight activities in the region.
DACHSER has been active in the air and sea freight market in Denmark since 2005, in Finland since 2013 and in Sweden since 2019. The logistics provider is now merging the five locations in the three countries into DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics Nordic under the leadership of Mattias Kellgren, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Nordic.
"With his extensive experience in the air and sea freight industry, Mattias Kellgren will play a key role in our further development in the Nordic markets," says Marc Meier, Managing Director ASL EMEA.
DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics Nordic is represented at strategically favorable locations in the Nordic countries: In Gothenburg with the largest export port in Scandinavia, in Copenhagen with connections to the largest airport in Scandinavia, and in Finland, where DACHSER is represented with three branches, the largest of which is close to Helsinki Airport, which is closely linked to the Asian market.
Local expertise with a connection to a global network
The 52-year-old Kellgren joins DACHSER with over 30 years of experience in the air and sea freight industry. He has held various positions of responsibility at Kuehne + Nagel since 1995, including National Ocean Freight Director for Sweden and Branch Manager in Malmö. Most recently he was Managing Director of CEVA Logistics Nordic.
From the Swedish DACHSER branch in Malmö, Kellgren will be responsible for the development of DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics Nordic. In this role, he is also part of the DACHSER Nordic`s management team at the Regional Office Nordic in Hvidovre near Copenhagen, which includes René Sidor, Managing Director Nordic and responsible for DACHSER European Logistics in the region, and Per Lund, Financial Director Nordic. "Thanks to our local expertise throughout the Nordic region and in synergy with our global network, we can offer our customers access to global markets," says Mattias Kellgren.
