DACHSER founded the joint venture in Finland at the end of 2013 together with the ACE Logistics Group. Both partners previously held 50 percent of the shares. DACHSER has now acquired all the shares in the joint venture and is integrating DACHSER Finland Oy completely into its Nordic overland organization under the leadership of Peter Hut, Managing Director Nordic European Logistics.

This takeover brings our road logistics setup in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway even closer together and ensures we have consistent organizational structures and processes in our overland transport network.

“This takeover brings our road logistics setup in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway even closer together and ensures we have consistent organizational structures and processes in our overland transport network,” says Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at DACHSER. This enables DACHSER to offer its customers in the region integrated transport and logistics services for industrial and consumer goods as well as food, while at the same time ensuring close air and sea freight connections via the Air & Sea Logistics business field.

Long and trusting partnership

For more than 25 years, DACHSER has collaborated in the Baltic States with its network partner ACE Logistics Group, headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia. ACE will remain a close partner of DACHSER in the European overland transport network for the Baltic States and Ukraine.

DACHSER employs around 1,800 people in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. To strengthen the Nordic region, DACHSER acquired the Swedish food logistics company Frigoscandia AB at the beginning of 2024 and recently invested in new branches in Aalborg, Denmark, and Kristiansand, Norway. DACHSER is also continuing to grow in Jönköping and Landskrona, Sweden, where it is moving into larger premises. In addition, a new site in Tampere, Finland, will join the network in spring 2025. “DACHSER Nordic is an important pillar of our network,” Tonn says. "By investing in Finland, we’re strengthening the region and further sharpening our services for our customers locally and globally.”
