DACHSER warehouse live and in action at LogiMAT
DACHSER will be at the LogiMAT 2016 trade show (Stuttgart, March 8-10) to present its global contract logistics network, which is made up of 138 own warehouses in Europe, the U.S., Africa and Asia. Visitors to Booth C41, Hall 6 will be able to look inside one of DACHSER’s largest warehouses from a mobile workstation and observe processes live and in action.
DACHSER’s monitoring tool was developed in-house and shows the movement of goods at a selected warehouse, including pallets being placed inside, shifted around, and removed.
At LogiMAT, we will showcase the entire bandwidth of our expertise, from warehousing to global contract logistics solutions
Alexander Tonn, head of Contract Logistics at DACHSERTo do this, the tool retrieves live data from Mikado, the DACHSER warehouse management system, so that the warehouse manager can monitor, control, and optimize the processes in the warehouse from his or her workstation.
Experienced warehouse employees will be at the booth to explain the processes to visitors in more detail
During the trade show, contract logistics managers from all over Germany will provide information on DACHSER’s warehousing and value-added services within its European transport and logistics network. The DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics branch office in Stuttgart will also have representatives on hand to provide a global perspective.
“At LogiMAT, we will showcase the entire bandwidth of our expertise, from warehousing to global contract logistics solutions,” explains Alexander Tonn, head of Contract Logistics at DACHSER. “We see LogiMAT as the perfect platform for hands-on experts and we want to present ourselves as such in Stuttgart.”
