DACHSER’s branch in Stryków to be expanded
DACHSER, one of the leading global logistics providers, expands its branch in Stryków near Łódź in Central Poland. The entire project, which is to be completed in the second half of 2018, encompasses expansion of the existing warehouse by additional facilities with the total area exceeding 8000 square meter. The new transshipment hall is to be put into service in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Within the investment in its Stryków branch, DACHSER will increase its warehouse space there by approx. 4500 square meter. The number of ramps will grow to 72. This will considerably increase the transshipment capacity of this cross-docking terminal. Further stages of the project include construction of a modern three-storey office building with the space of approx. 2400 square meter. Apart from the branch, it will house the seat of DACHSER Poland’s management board and its customs agency.

"We are building a very modern facility which will significantly improve our operations. We will considerably expand the transshipment capacity of the warehouse and adjust that place to storing dangerous goods. LED lighting and energy recovery ventilation will allow us to save energy. To minimise our environmental impact we will i.a. collect rainwater. We want the place to be also friendly for our employees, thus, it will also include a canteen, a big parking for passenger cars and a bicycle shelter"- adds Michał Simkowski, General Manager DACHSER European Logistics.
The terminal in Stryków is currently one of eight Polish branches of DACHSER. It was the company’s first facility in Poland since it began its operations in 2006.
