From the vineyard to the shelf

DACHSER Food Logistics is showcasing its full range of logistics services for the wine and spirits industry at the ProWein 2018 trade fair (March 18-20 in Düsseldorf). The international logistics provider’s booth at the world-leading convention bears the tagline “From grape to shelf.” Its services are aimed at small and medium-size wineries as well as larger players and importers.

“As one of the top food logistics providers in Europe, we can fulfill all the logistical requirements of the wine and spirits industry,” says Alfred Miller, Managing Director DACHSER Food Logistics. These include global procurement and distribution shipping, warehousing, handling customs and excise duties, services at the point of sale, and logistics for advertising materials.

DACHSER Food Logistics has 27 locations in Germany alone, and a tightly knit branch network throughout Europe. DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics is in charge of global imports and exports, from transporting bottles or flexitanks by sea to rush shipments by air.

“We see ourselves as a one-stop shop that can ensure efficient processes across the entire supply chain,” Miller explains. “As a result, smaller customers too can benefit from tailored services, such as the combination of pallet and package shipping.”
