Integrated contract logistics for stable supply chains
DACHSER at LogiMAT 2022
After a pandemic-related absence, DACHSER is returning to LogiMAT and will have its own booth at this year’s event. The logistics provider will be presenting its entire contract logistics portfolio in Hall 6, Booth D20. LogiMAT 2022 will take place in Stuttgart from May 31 to June 2.
Logistics is currently facing some major challenges. The pandemic continues, as does the war in Ukraine, with embargos and airspace restrictions putting additional pressure on global supply chains. “More than ever before, maintaining stable, resilient supply chains calls for flexible, reliable logistics concepts,” says Thomas Klare, Head of Corporate Contract Logistics at DACHSER.
Our contract logistics portfolio combines our global transport network with efficient warehousing and customer-specific value-added services. What the world needs are integrated solutions. Even in times of crisis, we aim to provide our customers with a service that gives them the assurance that challenges will be overcome.
Thomas Klare, Head of Corporate Contract Logistics at DACHSERThis is why DACHSER continues to invest in its capacity. The logistics provider currently has over 2.5 million pallet spaces at 175 locations spread throughout the world—including 53 warehouses in Germany alone. In fall 2022, these will be joined by a new, fully automatic high-bay storage facility in Memmingen in the south of the country. Representing an investment of EUR 25 million, this facility will offer space for 52,000 pallets laden with non-chilled food and food packaging.
Stuttgart – an industry hub
“After a two-year break, we’re thrilled to be returning to LogiMAT to once again present our range of services to people face to face,” Thomas Klare continues. “Being close to customers and understanding their needs and requirements is at the heart of everything we do. By combining local and transregional expertise, we can work together to get the best out of our network.”
LogiMAT is Europe’s largest annual intralogistics trade fair. Held over three days, the event offers visitors an overview of new technologies, products, systems, and solutions designed to rationalize, optimize, and reduce the cost of internal logistics processes.
