Change of leadership at DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics Southern Europe
After a successful career of more than 44 years in the logistics industry, Federico Camañez is ending his career as Managing Director ASL Southern Europe at DACHSER. Javier Villahermosa, who has successfully managed the Cargoplus division at DACHSER Iberia for the past eight years, will take over the position and responsibility for DACHSER's Air & Sea Logistics in the Southern Europe region. This includes the DACHSER country organizations in Spain, Portugal and Turkey.
Javier Villahermosa, 52, has many years of experience in the transport and logistics industry. After completing his studies in foreign trade and foreign trade and business administration in Spain and Germany, as well as several master's degrees in economics, management and leadership in Switzerland and Germany, Villahermosa joined the Swiss multinational Danzas in 1997 and then moved to DHL, where he spent more than 15 years as COO DHL Freight Southern Europe, leading various teams in operations, development and management. In 2014, he moved to DACHSER and took over the full truckload business of DACHSER Iberia as General Manager Cargoplus, as well as the Maghreb region for key accounts. In his new position, he leads a team of around 240 employees in Spain, Portugal and Turkey.
Personality in the industry
Federico Camañez had started his career in the world of shipping in 1977 at the shipping company Transbull Valencia, S.A.. Later, at Transunion, S.A., he was Operations and Customer Service Manager, then National Director. In view of the company's international expansion, to which he had contributed intensively by opening various offices around the world, he finally became International General Manager of the Group in 1999. After the acquisition of Transunion, S.A. by DACHSER in 2013, Federico Camañez was appointed Managing Director for Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal and Turkey) for DACHSER's Air & Sea Logistics division.
